Electrolux has seen a 22 percent increase in first-quarter net profit to 560 million kronor (£52 million) thanks to strong sales and increased impact in emerging markets.
Panasonic is looking to minimize the effect of a strong yen on its exports by bringing manufacturing closer to its customers, and hopes to capitalise on any incentives that struggling euro zone governments may offer.
