Thankfully no more product recalls, fires or other disasters this week but we do have bidding starting fro Comet, the beleaguered retailer.
Late reports have been emerging today of some agreement over the Comet pension fund presenting a stumbling block to sealing a deal for the retailer. We will publish any news as soon as we receive it on the topic as we know it's a hot one.
One of the forum topic picks this week is about being quiet and, if you are, don't panic too much if you can ride it out as a lot of people are very quiet at the moment.
So much so that we've gotten wind of some absolutely crazy deals being done on appliances just to move stock. Major manufactuers as well as dealers are struggling so it appears that there's pain all round.
Not that this news will help but it might make you feel a little better.

September Meeting (Trade)
A nice quite event for us on a Saturday for a change in an informal style. It's a bit of a change but there will be no big presentations and no displays at this meeting, those are all for February. But, it should still be very interesting with some stuff the engineers will be interested in.
