Whitegoods Conference
The conference this year was very well attended with over 150 people in the room, which is the largest so far by some margin. It was a busy, busy day.
Of course there was a lot going on during the day not least of which was the main talks given below but also there was a lot of business being done in the display area.
We will list the highlights below.
 Amica Service Awards
Eddie Laycock of East Lancs Domestic Appliances took top honours in the awards for outstanding customer service.
The customer survey award was won by Forresters based on London.
For technical prowess with the minimum use of parts, virtually no exchanges the technical award went to Dave Andrews at KLA in Kidderminster.
And the call centre staff award, which is determined by the call staff for the best administration and contact went to Neil Bowman and Sons.

British Gas
British Gas attended the conference seeking to build partnerships with independent engineers with a view to passing work to independent service companies.
Contact details are available from the WTA.

rapport
UK whitegoods (that'd be us) introduced their new completely free call handling and stock control system called "rapport".
You really had to be there to get a sense of where this is going but we have built a website to explain the major points which is available from this link.
The system is at the very early stages of development and only in Beta but, there are some really neat features going to be available soon.
But let's just say that, we're working with some very interesting partners on this system.
