Postby LadyJaneGrey » Fri Mar 02, 2007 12:13 pm

We are getting rid of Stanley cooker/boiler (oil fired) huge running costs .Fitting combi for H2O and heating but need advice re built under oven and indction hob. Have been advised that Miele are good but expensive. As we live in the boonies need stuff that are very reliable. Any advice would be most welcome :?

Hi

I must admit I had not heard this one before, but Google helped me out  . I too live in the Boonies, will have to try that one on my wife later

Anyway back to topic if you can afford the Miele products then they are about the best there is, service should it be required is excellent and they come with a two year guarantee too. more info here at Miele website. Next best without a doubt IMO would be the Neff range again have a two year guarantee. The range is much larger as all they produce is built in appliances

What hob size are you after ie 60cm wide or larger? What type of built under oven ie would you like multi function?

Thanks for looking .I would like a double built under oven as I oftrn am invadedby offspring and their families , no take away up here within 20 miles so have to do all cooking! so something that is very easy to clean and will do most types of cooking would be great. As for the hob I would need would have at least 4 burners more would be lovely & can be bigger than 60cm. i really appreciate the time folks take to reply to these queries

Hi Lady Jane

Right then if it`s built under then it is only Neff that do both hob and oven . Miele only produce double built in ovens which are taller than the built under machines. So if you want to achieve a nice "look" then nab a Neff oven and hob. Double built under oven two to choose from U1722 or the U1744. For most cooks the 1722 offers fan cooking, top and bottom element heat, full and centre only grill options, defrost and aquacleanse cleaning. In addition the 1744 has bread baking, dough proving, circo roasting for which alternates grill element and fan which can reduce cooking time and rapid heat.

On the hobs either the T4243 frameless hob or the T4344 framed in 60cm. For the larger sizes there is the T4383 80cm and the T4593 90cm.
Some of these come with the removale magnetic control which gives a nice uncluttered look.
