I have a Zanussi ZWF1650F. Initially wash programs would not complete. Using the diagnostics features intial errors where reported as varying between E52 and E34. E52 supposebly indicating tacho errors. I tookk the motor off, reviewed the brushes, approx 40mm remaining. Took the tacho off, magnet looked fine. For the sake of it I switched the brushes over.

After re-fitting the motor diagnostics then started for the first time reporting E66 errors, and now supposebly a heating element or pcb error. I made OL tests of the heating element, found no leakage. I then finally went for a review of the main PCB. Found a burnt PCB. Ordered a replacement pcb, arrived today, fitted it. E66 errors still be reported, and the only diagnostics tests not now failing with E66 alarms are 'DRAIN' and 'DRAIN & SPIN".

This is a bemused update. After fitting the needed PCB, but still getting E66 errors, my thoughts where either I had induced the E66 error with the earlier motor removals, or the E66 error was another issue to be solved in probably the heating circit.

Easiest thing to do first was remove the heating element wiring, and verify its contacts to earth where OL. They were. Then given all I had done previously was remove the motor which I could run via diagnostics as "SPIN", "SPIN & DRAIN", my thoughts where the motor was likely fine, so I decided to unclip the motor earth wire (from the heating e;ement I recall). Bingo, all diagnostic tests run will no alarms, including the electric tests.

Currently the machine & new PCB are working great, so non of the earlier alarms, or program stop starts. When the back log of washing is completed this fine sunny drying day, I will investigate this earthing issue some more, and so try and confirm what the issue is, and get this earthing wire properly attached back to the motor again.
