Machine has been stopping during a cycle almost as if its software had hung Now it will only fill for a second and stop. Starts filling for another second and stop. then from what i can tell it goes into diagnostic mode by itself.machine is a gw503k. Any help would be great as it is only a matter of time before i pull it down bit by bit. :)

Sorry about that, from right to left they are: on,on,off,on,off, off, off, off. thanks.

11 - pressure sensor error. This is the water level control switch and it's integral with the main pcb.

Try:
Pulling off the air hose and ensuring that it's not blocked, nipped, trapped or holed in any way. If that doesn't do it, the pcb is the culprit.

Penguin45.
Which bit of "Unplug it" is causing the problem?

Hello all, new to this forum thing but here goes.

Inherited a GW712 with the house and it goes straight to 0 1 0 0 0 0 1 0 on power up with constant beeping.

I'm able to get it into DMode by holding the "wash temp down"+"Power" button then switching on mains, two beeps then toggle spin buttons to get "slow" and "spin" lamps lit. Same code as above.

I believe from what I've read this is a "66" code relating to the pressure switch and needs to have the motor control module replaced?

Was able to get the bowl pumped out by applying pressure via tube to sensor (it actually did a small cycle so I set it to a full load).

Am I up for a new controller or is there any thing else I can do.?

This is a legendary site. Thanks.

Further to the above, thinking that I was on my way to a less than $100 fix on my 708 (have one of these that I thought had shot bearings), I've just pulled that apart (708) and the hub of the stator is actually breaking up, causing the stator to go off centre and contacting the magnets in the rotor.

This machine is 13 years old and has had a flogging, it wasn't going to last forever. The rest of the machine is in very good condition, although some of the plastic has had a lot of stress from a couple of OOB issues over the years. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

Don't think it would be worth fixing though as a new stator would be worth $$$$$ I expect.

Oh well, nothing lasts forever.

Simmo.

Hi
Thanks for such a helpful forum.
I have a F&P smartdrive GW709AU with the following error sequence (right to left):

on, on, off, on, off, on, off, off

Would appreciate advice on what the error code is and if it might be something I could fix myself or if I'll need to get a technician in.

Thanks.

Hi - after reading through the posts in a bit more detail I think I've figured out the error is 43 - balance switch. I would like to attempt to replace it myself if it's not too difficult. I've done an internet search for the part and it seems you can buy generic ones much cheaper than the F&P ones. Are the generic ones OK to use? Anyone had any problems with them?

I have a problem with my fisher & paykel washer model GWL03. it powers up but will not start. I went into diagnostic mode:

lights for slow/hold spin mode are from left to right: on off off off off off on on

If I am reading them correctly the error code is 193 or 131 depending on how it is read?

Can anyone help me.

If I have entered the wrong forum or am violating any protocol please forgive me as I am new to this kind of thing.
