Fisher & Paykel washer smart drive 703

Postby chrispy185 » Mon Jun 30, 2008 4:41 am

 Ok after spending most of the day trying to get the washer to work again after it appears I have fixed the RPS problem.

  Now to a new problem. The water pump will not drain. Everything else appears to be working fine.....well haven't got it to spin yet. :(

Have tried the pump during dionostics but it just growns and the motor doesn't even move anymore.

I try the diodostics and still get the old fault code 10000011.

Another strange thing that is happening now is when I turn the machine on at the wall I get 11111000 flashing off and on.

Yeah yeah I know she is an old girl but not really ready to give up on her yet.

Any help will be greatly appreciated :?

1st 5 flashing is restart turned off - reset procedure is in the user guide.

If the pump is groaning, it would suggest that there is power getting to it - is it free to turn when the power is off?

Penguin45.
Which bit of "Unplug it" is causing the problem?

Hi Penguin,

Thanks so much for your reply. 8)

Will need to look at the restart in the user guide. :?

Yeah the pump if free to move when the power is off. After removing the pump and spneding nearly a whole day on it I have ordered a new pump. that hopefully should be here in a few days. Hopefully this then should solve the problems or the old girl might end up at the back as a bomb fire LOL.

I will let you know how I go. Thanks again

If the pump is free to turn and hangs up when powered, it has lost its inductance (it's probably got rather hot at some point). so new unit should sort it.
