F&P GW709AU

Postby hugoismydogsname » Sat Dec 16, 2006 11:39 pm

Hi,

My GW709AU F&P is pulsing water in for about 10 seconds, then the pulsing stops and a constant beep starts.

I have turned off/on - no luck.

I have run diag report and get 00101011.

If it is the tube from the airbell at the bottom of the tub (i got this from another posting) would you kinldy tell/show me what this airbell looks like or where it is.

Many thanks and regards.

Out of Balance switch fault. Check function, connectors for corrosion etc, check bias spring connected casing to tub.

Penguin45.
Which bit of "Unplug it" is causing the problem?

Thanks Penguin45.

Forgove my ignorance, what does "check function" mean and which connectors (where are they) need to be checked?

Thanks again.

OK - test meter to check whether or not the switch mechanism is making and breaking the circuit. Corrosion is pretty obvious - get everything cleaned off, replace connectors if really bad. Two screws at the back of the console panel will allow you to remove the top deck and see everything - the OOB switch is the one with the pendulum arm attached.

Stay safe - power off.

Penguin45.
