Cooker Hood faulty

Postby esor » Mon Mar 27, 2006 5:56 pm

De Dietrich 80cm Cooker Hood, Model MH8824. 4 power levels on push of 1 button, 1 twin fan motor, electronic controls.
Purchased 14 months ago & therefore just out of warranty!!
Has been running brilliantly, but now only Speed 1 works, and that works sporadically [all 4 speeds are on push of same button]. Has anyone got any ideas what could be wrong?

Really appreciate any help I can get - before I become helpless female calling out expensive service engineer.

It's probably the control PCB but could also be the motor.

Engineer time to be honest as these are not easy to check without the correct test equipment.

Contact De Dietrich and complain as they will likely do it FOC, after all it is supposed to be a quality product. ;)

Being an ex-agent for them you really don't want to be DIY'ing it.

De Dietrich have just made my day - they are coming to fix it, under warranty. I'm thrilled. Thank you everyone.
