fixing oven door seal Baumatic BT2759SS

Postby marmiteontoast » Tue Jan 16, 2007 11:29 pm

Hello I'm new so this may have been covered but I have just moved into a new house and inherited a Baumatic BT2759SS (I think, but don't have instruction book - does anyone have a copy?!).

It seems to have a faulty seal on the larger oven door as the controls just above it get very hot - from leaking hot air I presume.

The oven seal seems to be loose, does it need replacing or can I stick it back - if I can stick it, what with?? I have found some stuff advertised here: http://www.intek-uk.com/ovenkit.htm but could I get a tube of some special type of Araldite or Loctite?

thanks very much

Ben

Hi Ben,

You need the heat resistant glue that will not burn from heat.
I cannot remember the glue name but will let you know tommorow. as it is in the van.

As for the manual, cannot find that model, so the closest I got is BT2760.

Follow the link below and see if that is the right one.

thanks Omar - Baumatic emailed me the instruction manual but want to charge me £30 for a new seal so the glue sounds good if you can find the name

thanks very much
