Spare parts for appliances from UK Whitegoods
by alcapone » Thu Jan 06, 2005 1:26 am
After living off microwave food for the last year and a half I'm in desperate need of finding a good quality freestanding cooker.
I've had my eye on the SMEG single oven cooker (SUK61) for sometime but have never checked for reviews - I'm quite worried that there have been numerous complaints about the quality and service of SMEG appliances and I'm having second thoughts about purchasing the cooker!
Ideally I would like a freestanding cooker (60cm width max), but could fit a separate hob/oven if need be. Any suggestions with makes? (looking to spend about £500)
Thanks

Hi alcapone
Are you after gas, electric or dual fuel ie gas hob and electric oven?
Regards

Preferably a gas hob with either an electric or gas oven.

Hi alcapone
The Smeg products have always been of good quality. I wouldn`t let the odd comment or bad review put you off. You could look at Cannon and Stoves but I would think the Smeg would be a good all round bet.
Good luck
