Hi

You need to check the element for earthing fault, with a Megger or other type of insulation tester. Its the only way, a multimeter is no good for checking for earth faults.

Washman
For safety remove plug from socket before removing any panels or attempting any repair to your appliance.

As the element heats up it expands and the element can then short to earth with an insulation fault.
