Spare parts for appliances from UK Whitegoods

How do I replace the bulb in my Samsung M1713N microwave? The microwave is still working ok. There's a little white plastic panel on the right hand side but I don't know if that's the 'access' to the bulb/holder.
Many thanks.

Hi: It maybe the bulb cover but is more likely to be the Waveguide cover, due to the dangers involved with Microwave ovens Manufacturers tend not to fit user replaceable items & many now fit the bulb inside the casing.
WARNING: Do not remove the outer cover of your Microwave for any reason, leave it to an Engineer these machines can KILL.

Thanks, Specialist. It looks like I'll just have to cook in the dark then

- or at least until I get a new microwave.
Do any companies make ovens that HAVE parts that the customer can replace?

Not that I can think of no, it's all due to the safety aspect, these can pack a fatal punch even if they have been off for a while.
If you turn the Microwave off & unplug it, you can carefully look behind the plastic panel to see if it hides the bulb. (screw fit).
REMEMBER POWER OFF, PLUG OUT & DONT REMOVE THE MICROWAVE COVER.

Why not take it to a microwave engineer? Gotta be cheaper than a new microwave!
