Bosch classixx check water light on

Postby Peejay16 » Mon Jul 18, 2011 8:15 pm

Model number is a SRS55C02GB/01. When trying to run the machine the 'check water' light comes on. I've emptied any remaining water out then taken the machine outside and given it a good few shakes. I also connected a hose to the outlet pipe (after removing the plastic bit in the bottom that stops water flowing back) and back filled two or three times. I reconnected and ran a quick wash cycle, which was fine, but then when I tried a longer cycle with a cleaner in the machine stuck at 41 mins and there is water in the bottom again. I'm guessing from the fact that the quick wash was OK that the pump is working, and that the problem is something stuck that the back washing hasn't completely removed. Can anyone please advise how I get to the internals of the machine so I can try and find what's stuck? I can see screws on the front of the side panels but when I remove them the side panels seem to be stuck under the top panel, and I'm not sure how that comes off. Also I'm not sure if this is the correct way to get to the bits I need to see?

Thanks for your assistance

Just to update this post. I've found out how to remove the side panel, and I've removed the assembly that the top part of the float connects to and given it a good clean out. Following this and a bit more shaking the dishwasher then emptied correctly, however when put on a wash cycle it filled and ran OK but then I got the same issue - check water light on and water in the bottom. Does what I've described still point to some debris being stuck somewhere, or could it be another issue? If it does sound like something stuck, can anyone suggest what I can do to try and fix it?

Thanks
