Hello,

Before I start properly, I just want to say that I have trawled the forum looking for a similar issue but although there are lots of 'draining problems' none really match the situation I have.

Here is the problem:
-During a full wash (about 135/145 minutes long) the cycle will stop at about 42 minutes and the Check Water light comes on.
-Opening the door, a pool of water is sitting in the bottom

This is what I have done:
-I have removed the water manually, removed the filters, cleaned them etc
-I have kept the machine switched on but with the door open just nudged the float thing up and the water drains away fine - there are no obstructions to the float (mushroom shaped) thing under the washer arm and the rubber seal thing under it seems ok.

Clearly the pipes are ok, drainage ok, impeller ok, pump ok, but the thing just sits there about 42 minutes left of a wash and cannot drain the water...
I have subsequently filled the bottom up with tubs and tubs of water and tried to get it to drain automatically and it just won't have it...

Any thoughts please, PLEASE!

Just in case anyone sees this message and has the same problem as me...

I seem to have fixed it. Apart from the troubleshooting that I detailed in the above post, the only thing I then did, was put the washer on the reset setting for a few minutes, then run a quick wash (which worked fine) and then ran a full wash.

This has now completed with no water left in the bottom and all is well. Mysterious. But sorted.

Well! I have the same problem - thanks for posting a reply to your own question! Very helpful. Another mystery to me is that in the four years I've had it the filters have been pretty clean - that can't be right. (The water in mine appears to be able to by-pass the filters by going over the top of them and going down the uncapped centre and out of the drain.) Naturally I assumed that the thing was just bunged up with grot. Will now study both aspects. THANKS!!
