Bosch not filling

Postby hands that do dishes » Tue Aug 17, 2004 11:54 pm

I've an SG16612GB/07 FD 8103 740068. Has been a little unreliable recently but now given up the ghost. The programs run but very little water enters the machine and as described elsewhere in the site the tablet sits soggily on the nearest pan/dish to the trap door. The inlet valve appears to open for a brief time at the begining of the cycle but nowhwere near enough time to 'fill' the machine. If I pour some water in then the machine runs happily but once it drains, doesn't refill for the rinse.

Any clues? I'm in Norwich if anyone in the trade wants to recommend themselves to fix this!

Thanks.

Hi HTDD,
Your machine is an SGS6612GB/07? The most likely cause of your problem is a blockage from the fill matrix on the left side down the hose to the machine's sump. It's not a difficult fix, but rather awkward!

See who responds from Norwich post codes is the easiest solution, or check the "Directories" section on the left.

Regards,
Penguin45.
Which bit of "Unplug it" is causing the problem?

Yes the SGI6612GB/07 is the fully 'integrated' version of the SGS series, and yes the pipe from the Pressure Chamber to the sump will be blocked with fat deposits need a clear out.

It is accessible from inside the tub (a 20mm aperture to the L/H/Side) can be cleared with a long thin 'bottle brush' A better fix is accessing the side panel, removing the pressure chamber, cleaning and refitting (better left to the experts though)

paulster wrote:I have just fitted a Bosch dishwasher but have encountered a few problems. All pipes are fitted correctly, but I cannot get water into the machine on any program.
The supplying hose is clear and water is under pressure to the machine.

Any help appreciated.

Model is SGS4012GB/07
FD 7712

Thanks
Paul

Paul,

There may be a number of reasons for this and in order to decide we need more information. Such as : Does the drain pump keep running? Is the base flooded? Etc Etc

Hi,

I have the same machine recently brought second hand, I have seen the machine working but upon plumbing in I have the same problems as paulster. The pump sounds as if it is running, but the water does not empty from the washer and I cannot select any of the programs. I have checked the drain hose and water does come out of it, but only very slowly and in spurts, I've been onto the Bosch site to see if I can find a manual but the machine isn't featured anymore. The email address they give you to contact them doesn't exist!!

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Take the pump cover off, check the pump is not blocked, remove the rubber valve and check that etc etc. There's plenty mention all over this site on the subject using the 'search' facility......
