Bosch SGS5358GB/17 doesn't drain

Postby joshkyv » Tue Aug 15, 2006 9:09 am

Hello
My Bosch dishwasher ends the cycle with dirty standing water.
I don't think the pump is working although it doesn't overflow during the cycle. I have checked the hose is not blocked where it attaches to my sink and I have fished around in the water and under the filters to look for old food etc.
Can I investigate further to unblock the pump or do I just need a new one? Could it be something else?
I'd appreciate any advice.
Thanks.

Dishwasher not heating up water?

Heating elements for most dishwashers including popular makes like Hoover, Zanussi, Smeg, Diplomat, LG and many more
If your dishwasher will not heat the water the reason is often that the heater has failed, which is the heating element used to heat the water and to dry your dishes. You can buy replacement heating elements including many low cost compatible dishwasher heaters in our store here to fit all major makes including AEG, Beko, Hotpoint, Bosch and many more

Yes a fairly easy thing to check and well documented in your 'user booklet' (it shows where to look and what to do  )

Basically, remove the pump cover and check within for blockages/restrictions....eaaaaasy! :)
