Spare parts for appliances from UK Whitegoods

I have a diplomat adp8322 14 months old. Undr warranty it has already had a replacement thermerstat. The dishwasher doesn't seem to be cleaning properly at all. After its cycle there is on most of the crookery etc a film of food. When you open the door you can see that the grey pipe that comes from the back of the machine to the base is out of its socket. It will go back in but after every wash it comes out again. A repair man has looked at it and says I need a new motor. I can't see how it can need a new motor after just over a year. It must be to do with this pipe. Any Ideas?

The grey pipe feeds water to the upper spray arm which is causing this problem, although if an engineer has diagnosed the circulation motor this may well be the case as well (two faults).
Is the water spraying OK from the lower spray arm (lower basket dishes clean, powder/tablet dissolved) ?
Dave.

The lower spray arms seem to work, though on occassion not every time I have noticed that the tablet has not disolved. When the cycle is finished the contents are not always dry especially glasses. I have tried it agfain today and again it washes to a degree and again the grey pipe has come away from the base.

It's a known problem on the Whirlpool dishwasher. Only cure is a new sieve cover / cover for the pipe to plug into. The bottom spray arm won't wash properly either with the pipe out as most of the water escapes instead of going through the spray arms.
Once it's in place it will wash ok again, but make sure the spray arms aren't blocked.
As to the drying problem, as soon as the program is finished you have to open the dishwasher door to vent the steam (except on turbodry models). If you don't the steam just condenses back onto glasses and crockery. (They don't dry plastic items either).
