Fisher Paykel Dishdrawer DD603H F1 error

Postby tabitha » Sun Apr 26, 2009 9:16 pm

Hi, we have a Fisher Paykel Dishdrawer DD603, a couple of months out of warranty. When we put both drawers on tonight, after about 30 minutes into the cycle, they both stopped and flashed with F1 error. From searching the web I have discovered this to be an error with water leaking. We could see no water in the underneath of the top drawer but lots in the bottom drawer. We dried this out and turned the top drawer only on again but had the same error after a couple of minutes. Again, the underneath of the bottom drawer was full of water. We dried it out and tried to run just the bottom drawer and this time it tripped the RCD before the F1 error appeared. We have now turned it all off! We think the top drawer may be leaking over the top as the rim of the top of the top drawer is really wet. (That makes sense if you have a dishdrawer machine!) The service company we used when we had a problem under warranty are only about 5 miles away (assuming they are still in business!) but we would like to try and resolve this ourselves. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Also, is it easy to release the hoses so that we can remove the drawer completely? Congratulations for sticking with this essay of a post! Any info very gratefully received.
Many thanks, Tabitha

Lid motors not shutting the lids properly is a known issue. Tall glasses stopping the lids shutting properly is also a known issue. Lid seals can cause problems, as can split hoses in the back of the machine.

These are a particularly awkward cuss to work on; I would seriously suggest that you get help through a repairer who actually understands the machines.

Which bit of "Unplug it" is causing the problem?

Thanks penguin45 for your reply. Am waiting for repair man as I type! Their prices seem quite reasonable compared to some of the things I have read when googling about repairs for these dishwashers. Hopefully it can be quickly resolved.
