Hinari Lifestyle HDW40 - lights are on but nobody's home!!

Postby Tess241 » Wed Sep 19, 2007 2:19 pm

Hi. My slimline dishwasher refuses to work! The light comes on when the start button is pushed - so I'm going to assume that it's not an electrical fault - however nothing happens when the dial is turned to the wash settings. Please can someone advise.
Many thanks

Microswitch in door lock burnt out is a good bet.

Power off, if investigating.

Which bit of "Unplug it" is causing the problem?

That sounds great - thank you. Can I order a microswitch easily if that is the case, and in terms of investigating, after turning the power off, should I unscrew the door and then I'll be able to see the door lock?

spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk can find parts for just about anything......

You are on the right lines about splitting the door - power off first and be very careful of the door edges - you can shave with them.
