Hotpoint BFI62 error code

Postby dave_r » Tue Mar 22, 2005 11:32 am

Any idea what the following flashing light indicates:

The machine goes through the standard wash and everything seems OK but rather than beeping to indicate end of cycle the 'soak' light (far right) flashes intermitently.

The manual indicates it is some sort of error but gives no info.

cheers

The light should flash x times between pauses, can you count them and let us know please.

Dave.

Dave_r,

More information required please. Does the machine pump all the water out? Are the filters and sump clear of debris? Will the machine drain then fill with water and start to wash?

Whatever extra info you can give us will help, 'cos remember, we cannot see your machine from here

Martin,

I cleaned the filters a couple of days ago (when the light first started flashing).

I assume the sump is the unit where the filters sit - if so I cleaned that out as well and drained some water out as it was filthy and nearly overflowing back into the unit. Just checked both and they are still clear/clean and there is about an inch of clean water in bottom of sump (not sure if that is normal or not).

The machine drains/fills with water and seems to wash as per usual.

Thanks in advance

Dave
