Try pressing and holding the Start/Reset button until you hear three beeps.

I too have exactly the same problem. I have tried your solution, but after that I try and re-run a cycle demo mode kicks in again. Do you have any other solutions?

Try this, press and hold the Start/Reset button until you hear three beeps. Then press and hold On/Off & Start/Reset together until you hear three beeps. Hopefully this will clear the problem, failing that a swift kick in the side whilst cursing the spaghetti munchers who made this machine( Indesit) may not improve matters but it may make you feel better. Great food, shabby appliances.

That worked!! Thank you very much. I have to say I thought i'd tried that previously. I also gave it a kick to warn it not to bother doing that again.

First of all, thank God for Google. Secondly thank you for the funny, and more importantly, correct fix. Cheers.
