Nardi LSI starts but then stops abruptly

Postby tomsmother » Fri Jan 09, 2009 2:25 am

Hello, I have a Nardi LSI integrated dishwasher, the serial number is
20011025818 (at least I believe this is the serial number). The problem is as follows: when I turn the dishwasher on, set the program and close it, the left light and the middle light are both on while the right light is off. The dishwasher seems to work but after a few seconds it stops abruptly and the left light in the picture provided starts blinking. The blinking light has the same symbol as a compartment in the back of the dishwasher which I inferred was the salt compartment. When I open the salt compartment, it is full of water and looking inside I can see salt on the bottom.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Thanks in advance,
Tom

Struggling to identify whose machine this actually is - Nardi buy them in as a badge job. Any chance of a piccie of the whole control panel?

Thanks,

Penguin45.
Which bit of "Unplug it" is causing the problem?

Sure, here is the rest of the control panel, I couldn't fit the lights in with the buttons, they are just off to the right. Sorry for shabby photo quality, but I'm taking these pics with my camera phone.

Hope that helps.

Bump, anyone?

Did the second photo help you identify the dishwasher?

Since the light with the same symbol as the salt compartment starts blinking at the same time as the dishwasher stops, could it be a problem with the dishwasher salt?

We think it's some sort of Merloni/Servis machine, which is not good news as they've just folded up.......

I can find no tech info as to what the flashing lights might mean - lack of salt would bring the relevant lamp on, but wouldn't stop the machine operating.

I take it that the brief noise is the drain pump running - that's how most programmes start. I imagine that the pcb then detects the fault. As it is immediately, I would suspect that the flood protection system has cut in due to a leak into the tray beneath the machine. Pure conjecture, I'm afraid.

I am also told that the pcb itself is prone to problems.

Sorry to be rather vague - the info just doesn't seem to about.

Power off if are going to investigate further.
