Spare parts for appliances from UK Whitegoods
by PDPS » Mon Feb 12, 2007 9:26 pm
I've been asked to sort out a problem with a leaking dishwasher (make and model as in the subject).
It's losing about a mugful of water, from the bottom left corner of the door, during each wash. I suspect the seal along the bottom edge of the door as it has a couple of 'bumps' where it appears to have worked loose from where it is clipped in. I'm also wary that it could be a problem around the soap dispenser - although this looks to be in good condition.
Any thoughts?

Door seal good bet - p/no 298534 -
spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get you one quickly and at a good price.
Also, check bottom rotor very carefully for splits - weird watery things happen if it has.

Penguin45.
Which bit of "Unplug it" is causing the problem?

I had to change couple of these seals. You will probably have to change the door bottom seal.
But still check the dispensar area to be sure
By putting the old one back it came out after a while so I had to change the whole seal and it is not expensive.
Regards

Many thanks.
Customer informed - now I just wait while their timber floor gets soggy under the vinyl that's already lifting. Shame about the ceiling in the flat below ...

i have had a couple of appliances where the customer has leant on the dishwasher door whilst its in a level position and this has caused the inner door to bend by the hinges . This can cause a gap to appear between the door and tub edge . ould be worth checking out as well.

It's an old machine in a rental flat so anything could have happened - although the current tenants seem very responsible and are looking after the place well.
Thanks for the tip - will check it out if I get the job.
