NTC FAULT WITH DIPLOMAT DISHWASHER ADP8322

Postby banner » Tue Jun 12, 2007 7:53 pm

Hi all
I have currently got a problem with my dishwasher Diplamat ADP8322. after reading some other similar problems on the site i have realised that i have whats known as a NTC fault due to the continual beeping and the spray LED illuminated, i proceeded to check the divice, not sure if its an actual thermocouple or just a thermister, anyway i have a reading of about 35k across the terminals which reduces @ a steady pace to about 7k until the water gets to hot to hold it under. My question is this, is the resistance correct if so is it possible that i have a further fault, can anyone help.
kind regards.

Funny beast, the NTC (it is a thermistor). Your readings are more or less in range, but even then it still may not work. Nobody really knows why. You may hit lucky with oxidised contacts at the pcb - a clean-up may do the trick. It is possible that there is a failure in the computer board, but overall, I'd still go with replacing the NTC.

It's here:

if you wish to order.

Which bit of "Unplug it" is causing the problem?

Hi PENGUIN 45
Thanks for that information, just to bring up to speed i replaced the NTC after i checked it and it worked fine so my conclution was that it was tracking across the base of the plug due to it being inverted and slightly damp to the touch, not sure if it will carry on working but maybe this is a common fault with water condensing on the surface. If i have to check the connection @ the PCB how difficult is it to access.
Kind regards
