our diplomat ADP8332 is only washing on cold. What is the problem. Does the heater need to be replaced or just the element? Are these separate things? Help! We don't want to get cowboy'd.

This is a Whrilpool in a skirt. The tubular heater has most likely failed, although I have seen a few with burnt out wiring.

Being a digital machine, it should abort the programme, beep and flash lights at you when it fails to heat........

Which bit of "Unplug it" is causing the problem?

As Penguin says, check the heater and wiring first.
Have had a few in the past where they would complete the cycle, no heat, no error code. Fault lay with the pcb / software.

Tube heater under the machine - usually about 20-30 ohms when split from the circuit.

Power off, of course.

Duplicate post deleted to avoid confusion.
