question regarding bosch logixx SGS69L12GB

I i`ve recently purchased the above bosch dishwasher which has only just come onto the market! It is fantastic, lovely looking!

I have a question regarding its energy consumption: The dishwasher has 6 programmes, 4 of which are:

1) Auto Delicate (35°C -45°C) (energy consumption is 0.95kwh-1.05kwh)
2) Auto Normal (55°C - 65°C) (energy consumption is 1.45kwh-155kwh)
3) Auto Intensive (65°C-75°C) (energy consumption is 2.05-2.15kwh)
4) Daily 50 (enery consumption with eco button is 1.05kwh)

brochure says Express model "all programmes run up to 50% quicker - so every wash is a quick wash with an A-quality wash and drying performance - when you can take things a little slower select the Eco Wash option to extend the wash time for A-rated energy performance"

My question is if i press the eco button what effect does that have on energy consumption for no 1, no 2 and no 3 above?

I think you will find that the energy consumption figures you quote for progs. 1 to 3 are recorded with the Eco button pressed.

The programmes are set to deliver A-rated wash and speedy cycles, at the expense of the energy rating. To achieve the 'A' energy rating, you apparently have to engage the "Eco Wash" option. This will mean that the programmes will take longer to complete, but will follow efficiency parameters.

On previous machines, the situation was reversed: the programmes were set up to be the most energy efficient, had long cycle times and you had to engage the "Reduced Time" option yourself.
