I thought i cracked it.I was getting a fault code.(6).A water flow problem.I cleaned the contacts on the waterflow meter , as decribed in another thread on your foruum.(brilliant information on here guys , well done). All excited putting things back together.
Now the fault code is gone. Now when i start a cycle , the machine drains for around 20 seconds , then fills for another 20 / 30 sec.just when i expect it to start spinning the arms i get a dull humming sound from the bottom of the maciene and thats it.NOTHING.....! Dont want to do any damage so i shut it down.
Im lost guys.
Any ideas...?

Better have a read of
THIS. Humming noise may well indicate a failed circulation pump.

Which bit of "Unplug it" is causing the problem?

I took out the pump (the big askoll) and gave it a going over.It looked ok to me, no play in the bearing , impeler was atached and in good order. No wear marks on the inside caseing.
I hate to ask, but can i be sure this is the problem ?
Thanks in advance penguine.

Does it pump?
Sequence is drain, fill, pump whilst filling, pump. Humming noise is usually pump getting power but not responding - ie, no circulation.
