Whirlpool ADG7550

Postby col-mac » Mon May 26, 2008 6:47 pm

this dishwasher developed a fault after being left unused for 6 weeks. Now when a program is selected the drain pump runs for 30 seconds then the machine fills for 10 seconds then it bleeps and starts to drain, if left the drain pump runs for 30 seconds and stops the alarm continues to sound.
this is the same fault as on a diplomat which was not used for 6 months
I disconected the diaphram switch, made no difference.
I disconected the pump also no difference.
HELP...

Ignore the beeps, count the pattern of the flashing start lamp.

Which bit of "Unplug it" is causing the problem?

Continuous flashing is F1; the temperature sensor (NTC) is not working correctly. It's the probe sticking through the base of the sump, under the filters and is a twist fit from underneath.

Replacement available HERE.

Power off before going in..........
