RS21DCNS Samsung fridge problem

Yes, I have the dreaded problem that all samsung f/freezer experience at some point. I get a horizontal line on right side of display, is this the defrost sensor? If so, do I need to change the whole evaporator panel? If so can I do it myself?
Any advice on this problem would help
