Right details are, Siemens fridge/freezer model KG-31V04-GB/05
The problem first appeared a couple of days ago when i noticed the temperature in the fridge wasn't as cold as normal, when i checked the temp gauge in the freezer door it was up near 0 degC
I adjusted the thermostat dial up a bit but nothing happened (there was no noise from the back at all)
So i turned the unit off at the wall waited about 30 seconds and turned it back on.
The compressor sparked into life and the temperature came back down (over night) it seemed ok for a day, then the temperature started to increase again.
I tried the turn off turn on again but to no avail.
So i did a little research on the web and found this place, i read a few posts and it sounds as if it could be the thermostat.
Now does this sound right?
Also is it likely to be the thermostat (and where is that hidden?)
Or the thermostat PCB board that the temp adjuster dial is on?
House hold electrics are not my area, give me a car engine to strip or bodywork to weld up no problems
Thanks for any help.
