SMEG fridge freezer fab30

Postby guest1 » Mon Aug 09, 2004 7:01 pm

Our two year old SMEG is playing up. Freezer compartment fine, but the fridge is only cooling at the top and the inside back of the fridge is warm. We have defrosted it, but still can't seem to get cold at the bottom of the fridge.

Help! and thanks

Could you find the full model and serial number from the rating plate next to the salad in, I'll check the Smeg tech info in the morning for you and see if it shows anything obvious.

Indeed !

It's normally the way though, when they're under pressure to get the temp down ;)

Nothing obvious, first thing to check then (you may need to moitor this) is check if the motor (compressor) is running continuously.

Dave, it all seems to be okay now.

There remains a little warmth on the inside back wall of the fridge - about half way down, but this may be normal.

Thanks for your help.
