Tricity Bendix fridge/freezer fridge warm, freezer cold

Postby Dave777 » Mon Nov 27, 2006 9:32 am

Tricity Bendix BFF781W integrated fridge freezer with R134a.

One morning, fridge warm and freezer still cold. FF freezer fan running OK. Changed thermostat (Ranco K59), freezer OK frideg got to 11 degress celsius overnight. Slight frost only at top of fridge back. Compressor hot and cooling fins warm.

Any ideas please?

Cheers

Hi Dave,

Sorry missed this.

It's possibly the stat you have isn't right or the phial isn't located correctly. There's also the possibility that the compressor isn't pumping right as well.

Hard one to offer advice on remotely as a lot of fridge problems are. :?

Thanks K. The compressor does seem very hot when running, so I did think it was maybe struggling. The new and old stat seem to run the compressor the same. It takes a while to kick in then cools the freezer, but the fridge struggles to get below 12C. Does the phial (thermostat sensor???) need to run exactly right or can it be left hanging free for testing?

Cheers
