Whirlpool USA style fridge/freezer - freezer faults

Postby EngineerEdd » Tue Jun 23, 2009 2:58 pm

Hi, Can anyone help with the following. My Whirlpool Infinity American style fridge/freezer has had flashing temp LEDs, clicking and spurting water when dispensing for some time. Now however the freezer has defrosted and the clicking has stopped but LEDs still flash. Fridge still seems to work normally.

Live on the isle of man so difficult to get someone reliable to fix the thing so going to try myself if its still worthwhile doing, any ideas. Believe its a PCB problem but now concerned that its not freezing there may be more wrong.

Model 85615215010 circa 5-6 years old.

I was just deleting dingle4eva`s duplicate post and I see now that both have been deleted, can one of them be restored if it`s possible. If I`m to blame I`ll take the slap on the wrist no probs

Can't be reinstated I'm afraid.

To dingle4eva, Did just that, took out both front and rear PCBs and sent them to qer for repair and test. Both repaired and returned in a couple of days refitted and fridge/freezer working again. All for about £75 including shipping.

The damn ice maker has stopped working now though, water dispenser working fine! any ideas for this?
