Spare parts for appliances from UK Whitegoods

just changed ther door seal on my servis caress1200 & it was fairly straightforward apart from the "extra" little pipe that attaches to the drum.
The guy in the spares shop told me to "glue" this on? I have done so but am concerned about any leaks as there seems to be no positive way of tightening this (like the main clips)
Ive run the machine & it seems ok. Are these a problem normally?

Hi
The spout has a flange with a groove , if you have put the glue ie:- debor/evostick in this groove and pushed one part of the flange into the drum so that one side of flange is on the inside of drum and one side on the outer side it should be Ok.
