Spare parts for appliances from UK Whitegoods

Thanks to this wonderful site, I can see that my f&p GW609AU washing machine is showing a fault code 76 (or 50?). (LED's 00110010 lit). But I cannot find out what this means, even f&p's site does not disclose it. The machine does not fill at the beginning of the cycle, although the agitator moves. If filled manually, the washer faults at the rinse cycle when it's time to allow more water in. If the washer is left off for a while, the fault beep sounds and the LED's light up. Any help offered is hugely appreciated.

Hot water valve, Sandy. Solenoid coil open circuit (should read 64 ohms) or dodgy connectors. Can be computer, but that would be unusual.

Which bit of "Unplug it" is causing the problem?

Thanks very much for your answer Penguin 45, this site has been immense help. I trawled thru your forums after I posted my query and it seemed like it was going to be the hot water valve. Now all I got to do is find a local parts dealer open on new years eve or new years day...
