Spare parts for appliances from UK Whitegoods
by Doron » Tue May 22, 2007 6:08 pm
Hi, I have a brand new AEG electric hob, model number 66201 KF-N. Their was a delay fitting the kitchen so the hob is now out of warranty.
I fitted the hob and switched it on and the top left and bottom left cooking zones are not working.
Each cooking zone has its own LCD display which shows the heat setting when you touch the cooking setting selector for the particular cooking zone.
The LCD display and cooking setting selector IS WORKING on the two cooking zones which are not working.
Would anyone have any ideas for what the problem might be?
Thank you for any help.
Regards
Doron

Yeah Doron,
You need to wire the terminal block correctly, one section of it is doubtless not getting a feed. If you look at the instruction manual it will detail how this is to be done on that model.
Hope that helps.

Hi Kwatt
Thanks for getting back to me!!
Looking at the line diagram for the L / N / E terminals on the hob, the live has two terminals, can I check please if I should bridge the two live terminals together.
Thanks for your help.
Regards, Doron

Hi Kwatt
Thank you, I’ve just bridged the live terminals and now the other two cooking zones are working.
In the instructions theirs only a line diagram, no text to say what to do and when I originally looked at the line diagram I assumed to connect the live to any one of the two live terminals.
So thank you once again!!!
Kind regards, Doron
