Strange washing machine....

Postby matt11 » Wed Jul 25, 2007 8:56 pm

Hi,

Just moved into a new house, used the waching machine once and the top bit where you put the powder (powder tray??) has blocked up - the washing machine is completely unbranded and can't find anything like it to find out how to take the tray out and unblock it (the conditioner area is blocked with powder for some strange housemate reason)...

Been told there should be a trigger to release the tray but have no idea...

It says 'A Wash performance', '1200 Automatic', has 4 buttons ('Aquaplus Rine', 'Half Load', 'Spin Dry' and 'On/Off' with a BIG orange light same size as the buttons. Also - two dials - one for temperature the other for program - which are spring loaded so push it in, grab the dial and turn, then pushes back out. The handle is pretty basic too...

Any ideas of a brand??

Thanks,
matt11

Which bit of "Unplug it" is causing the problem?

Looks like a Hygena/Diplomat/Servis :D not a bad machine TBH
If you remove the wood kickboard, the model and seriel should be behind there on the machine next to filter aperture.

Greg

PS - Sorted size aswell

Rah! It is a Merloni beastie.

Remove soap drawer by pulling forward 'tilit stops. Hook your thumbs into the drawer and give a short hard tug; it should pop out. Don't do this with the drawer front, it will break.

Hi
Usual suspect is the force of the water entering the drawer, blasting the powder everywhere.
Try turning the cold fill tap to the machine down, to stop this from happening. :)
