bosch classixx 1000 spin query

Postby norbellini » Sat Jul 28, 2007 6:50 pm

hi
when the washer is on full spin with half a load i get a loud tapping from the drum as soon as the washer spin cycle finishes and the machine i s ready to slow down , the noise immediately goes of .It never seemed to do this on small loads when the washer was new and it certainly hasnt been used a lot in the 2.5 years ive had it .Could someone give me any ideas what to look for on this model.

Hi
I suspect that the suspension legs will be in need of exchange.
If you can pop the full model number up off the door or rear of appliance then we can get you the part numbers you need.
That is the most common problem, you could also have a more serious problem. When you open the door, try and see if the drum has play up and down, it should be firm.

drum is nice and smooth with no play i think the bearings are ok . must say drum isnt very stable on the legs. It just seems a bit quick for suspension legs to pack in. Saying that i remember bogging them when i put a new heater in and they did look "skinny"

Hi
Shock absorber pack is p/no 448032 available form spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk
A word of warning, the old shocks will require you to drill through the plastic bolt at the top of each to enable removal. The new ones come with bolts to attach them.

Unplug appliance if you are to attempt any of the above yourself :plug:
