TEKA DISHWASHER AND BANG !!

Postby ck888 » Sun Mar 09, 2008 4:34 pm

Hi, Can anyone help ? the dishwasher went bang !!
and now i can turn it on, with lights on the panel illuminated, but when i shut the door to start the program it just trips at the board.

On inspection i found a small white plastic cylinder with 2 wires attached to it, which appears to have blown

could it be a capacitor ? it has 2.2Mohms and DEM 7092

Is it any easy fix ? Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

Putfile, Photobucket, Imageshack etc. You have to upload your pics to a web hosting site and the paste a link into your post.

If it is a blown capacitor it will have a uf rating on it somewhere.

If you cannot find the exact part then if you send an e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk you will get price and availability info.

Sometimes it is water ingress but most of the time it 'just happens' . It can happen on all makes of appliance, it is however more common on the budget end of the market.
