Hi all, I am new to this forum and looking for some advice. I have a Hotpoint WD71 which becomes very noisy when in the spin cycle.

It doesn't seem to be the bearings, as the drum is fairly quiet when I rotate it by hand.

I have taken the top off and can see that as you look from the front/top the motor which is back right appears to have been hitting the side, which I think would account for the lound banging on spin.

Can anyone advise what would cause this and how can I cure it??

Start by making sure that the filter in the bottom hose is not choked and that any sink coupling is clear.

Failing that, you may need THIS LITTLE LOT.

Power off first.
