Hi,can anyone advise please.Hotpoint dishwasher runs and washes properly some of the time but we have the 2nd(Daily wash) and 4th Light (Eco) flashing at end of cycle. When it doesn't wash properly the wash cycle is a lot shorter?
Any ideas please
Can we & how do we resent the electronics?
Your assistance is appreciated[/i][/b]

Heater fault - can be heater, wiring or pcb. Perform resistance test on heater as a starting point, power off first.
Penguin45.
Which bit of "Unplug it" is causing the problem?

Hi Penguin45,
Thanks for your reply. Will borrow a meter tomorrow and test, however water is heating up ok. Although machine works sometimes it always brings this fault code up now. Could this be intermittent pcb fault? Or could the heater be intermittent?
Best wishes

Heaters generally work or don't - if it's a bit hit and miss, I'd be suspicious of the relay on the PCB.

Printed Circuit Board....or sometimes called the module. Sticking heater relays are a common fault. New PCB is the answer. Not too bad price; try the "Spare Parts" banner at the bottom of each post or the "Shop @" in the left menu for price and availability.
Test thoroughly and be sure you need the PCB.....Power off if investigating.

Today's bargain is tomorrow's landfill......

Thanks for the info
Was looking at the PCB board, and found one of the wire's burn out (casing burn but wire ok). What does this mean and is it worth changing the pcb board still
