Bosch SGS55C02GB dish washer water check light

Postby markieju » Fri Apr 24, 2009 2:13 pm

Hello, Please help !!. I have a Bosch SGS55C02GB dishwasher, when I turn it on the motor comes on and then the check water light displays, if I tilt the machine back the light goes out and the water comes in. I have checked that the machine is level, but only seems to work if I tilt. As the machine was recently moved and re-installed I have checked and there was water in the base, I have cleaned this out but still the same problem occurs. Not sure what to do.

You will have to find the source of the water leaking into the base . First thing i would check , seeing as the machine has recently been moved , is the cold water inlet hose connection at the back to see if that is leaking. If it hasn't been fitted tight enough , it can leak and the water drips from the hose connection onto a small ledge which then runs into the appliance base.

If you want to empty the water from the base , MAKE SURE APPLIANCE IS UNPLUGGED and tilt it forward slightly. The water should run out onto the floor from under the front edge

hello, thanks very much for your help, I will check this out. Is there any other places you might recommend checking, I am also going to try and take the base of as last night I cleared out the water (which was clean) went to start the machine and then exactly the same amount of water appeared again so I am expecting a hose somewhere is loose but not sure how easy it is to check them all. Thanks again for your help.

bosch waste hoses are pretty flimsy and crack easily. bosch dw bases dont remove easily as you have to lay them on their back or if your skilled enough to avoid water contamination in the electronics, on their head. problem is the circ motor is suspended with rubber bushes on hooks on the base, and the base helps push the motor seal on to the main cavity so really u have to drain the base and let it dry thoroughly then watch the dw fromt he side (fully assmbled) out of its cabinet until it shows where the leak forms
