When you switch machine on, the drain pump should acitvate first, then water should come in.
When you switch on do you hear anything happening?.

The drain pump may be running due to the anti flood device being activated.
First , unplug machine from wall socket making it safe, then pull the machine out and tip it back, water may come out. If so then it confirms anti flood had activated. In any case you will have to get an engineer as DIY repairs to dishwashers are not to be recommended.

If you had Comet out is the appliance still under guarantee, if so get them to return and sort it out.

If it is the flow meter as Comet suggest then this is not an expensive part (less than a tenner). Beko call it a "counter".
Click on "Find an Engineer" see if anyone near you.
