We try to offer safe and competent advice to all posters. It could be argued that it costs us money in lost repairs (we are largely independent repairers after all and need the work), but we all accept that a lot can be accomplished by an amateur (no disrespect intended ) who listens (or rather reads) the posts and instructions available in these forums.

From our point of view, it also highlights the intransigence of most of the manufacturers, who would probaly sell their Grannies before telling you how to empty the filter on their washer, or how to join a couple of wires together in your case.

Glad you've resolved it, please buy something from Amazon as you leave - we need to pay for all this somehow!

Hi,

I have a KGU 3104 GB 02, the compressor runs when I short out two of the pins on the left connector.

Seems I have a problem with a thermistor so I shorted between largw black and small brown on the right connector, keeping black unbroken. Has not fixed it. Any further idea anyone/

There are only 3 wires on the RH connector - black & 2 browns, should I try the other brown with the black?

Firstly you should not be tampering in this way with this appliance.
We are not going to tell you to short this and that in a hope it works.
I would strongly advise you to seek an engineer from the link below or source the mod kit 491415 from link below as it is a tricky mod without the sheet.

I got Bosch KGV3210GB/02 which is about 5 years old now, last week it had an exactly same problem like other people's. after reading the posts here, I decided to have a try. this is what I did, and hope it can help others who has the same model whith same problem. after switching off the fridge freezer and unplug the power cable, I opened the control panel from the top of the fridge and pull out the connector on right side of the module control board, then I measured the resistance, , the reading between wire 1 (light brown) and wire 3 (dark blue) was about 8.2 k ohm, and the reading between wire2 (dark brown) and wire4 (light blue) was 1.88 m ohm, which seems to me dosen't make sense. so I cut wire2 and wire 4 and jointed the ends together, and put the connector back, then switched on fridge freezer, it started to work. Next morning, I opened the fridge I could see ice on back wall, I also checked the temp. selctor dial and the supper freezing button, they all looked back to work. now the fridge freezer's temp. is controlled relying on one sensor from freezer, I guess the temp. in fridge will fluctuate a lot, anyway it's better than not working at all. Briefly: when you open the control box at the top of the fridge there is a little connector box on the right-hand side with four wires coming out of it. Notice which way up the connector box is before unplugging it and then cut the top wire and the third from top wire (dark blue and dark brown) and join the two ends which are still connected to the connector together (so that they loop back to the connector). Tape up the free ends of the wires and then plug back in. That's it!!

If this is not clear enough I will try to find time to make a drawing. I dont have access to a scanner unfortunately.

This quote is a bit dated but if its author is still active may I have your help please? It seems you found and fixed he fault quite simply. If you have in the meantime made a sketch I can refer to, I would appreciate it. The symptons decribed are just as on our machine. Is the a manual I can refer to on line?

I also have the same symptoms with my machine but when I took the cover off of the control panel, the connector on the RHS only has 3 wires. Any ideas which 2 need to be linkee?
