We try to offer safe and competent advice to all posters. It could be argued that it costs us
money in lost repairs (we are largely independent repairers after all and need the work), but we all accept that a lot can be accomplished by an amateur (no disrespect intended
) who listens (or rather reads) the posts and instructions available in these forums.
From our point of view, it also highlights the intransigence of most of the manufacturers, who would probaly sell their Grannies before telling you how to empty the filter on their washer, or how to join a couple of wires together in your case.
Glad you've resolved it, please buy something from Amazon as you leave - we need to pay for all this somehow!
