Hello everyone
My grandparents' 9-year old Bosch washing machine is on its way out (noisy bearings I believe) and they don't think it would be economical to repair and would like to buy a new machine.
They are looking at a maximum of £450 and like everyone here, they would like a quality machine that will last and have a decent guarantee.
They live in North Tyneside and there don't seem to be many retailers to choose from, the usual big-box stores and Fenwick's in Newcastle city centre. I live in Oxfordshire so I can only advise them over the phone for the time being.
They only use the machine a handful of times a week and probably only small loads each time, so they won't need anything too complicated or flashy.
I've looked about a bit online and found a Siemens WM14E162GB for £380 from the Co-op website, plus £20 for connection and setting-up. It seems like a good deal but I think they would rather buy one from a shop.
Can anyone recommend a good machine in their price range and does anyone know any good domestic appliance shops int the North-Shields / Whitley Bay area?
Thanks in advance,
Paul.
