American Fridge Freezer advice

Postby andyuk76 » Wed Feb 23, 2011 8:02 pm

Hi there

Sure this has been asked before (lots), but...

In the process of a house move, and in need of a washing machine and a fridge freezer (Both going in the garage, at least initially)

I'm pretty much sold on a ISE or Miele washer - albeit for more than I wanted to spend, but I can see the benefits

But can I pick up a decent american side by side fridge freezer for less than the washer budget (Around £900 from what I've seen?), say around the £5-600 mark? Or do I need to be spending a similar amount to get something that will last? Would like one with a water/ice dispenser, but it's not a deal breaker, other than that, no real restrictions

Bought an LG in the current house, and that's done 3 years without problem, but I don't know the model number, so can't get another one of them!

Thanks in advance

£500 to £600 for a 'decent' American fridge freezer, do me a favour. :rolls:

Your idea of decent must be somewhat different to mine. £1500 to £2000 gets you a decent American fridge freezer.

That's why I asked whether or not one could be picked up for that price range, rather than asking you to tell me your favourite decent model for that price?

If I knew what 'decent' meant, I probably wouldn't be asking the question

The budget's pretty non negotiable, so we'll just get what we can afford

Thanks
