Hotpoint EB900X Range Cooker

Postby neilwakeman » Thu Oct 20, 2011 12:37 pm

Good Afternoon all,

Our 4 year old Hotpoint Cooker has developed a problem. :rolls:

The Fan oven element (The one at the back around the fan) doesn't want to heat up anymore. :x

Is this a damaged element or thermostat problem?

any advice would be really helpfull.

Thanks

Neil

You need to double check that model number, nothing listed beginning with EB. :?:

Its more likely to be the element than the stat. The only way to be certain is to isolate from the mains and check the element, first visually as you can often see the damage, if not then electrically with a suitable multimeter or megger.

Bear in mind that as this is a dual fuel cooker you need to be extra careful with the gas connections.

In most cases it is possible to change the element without moving the unit at all.

Part number for element is C00141180.

Its THIS one.
