Zanussi FJ1295 won't start

Postby Glenda » Mon May 16, 2005 7:29 pm

I have a Zanussi Jet System 1200 Rinse Sensor FJ 1295 serial number 44600856.
I have owned this machine for about 10 years. It has developed a fault so that when I close the door the machine will not start approx 9 out of 10 times.
On the occasions when I can get it to work, sometimes it goes through the cycle with no problems at all and will start the next few times. Other times it won't start at all.
On some occasions when it starts it does not perform the cycle and races through the programme with no spins.
The machine has recently had new drum bearings fitted so I am a bit reluctant to give up on it yet.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thank you
Glenda

Door lock, situated to the right of the door seal, accessible from the front. Ensure it is unplugged before you investigate.

Any doubts or fears, call in the experts.

Thank you for your response but looking at the machine the lock mechanism does not seem accesible from the front. Are you saying it needs a relpacement or can it be adjusted?

Is what you want - access is through the door seal. The lock cannot be adjusted, only replaced.

Regards,

Which bit of "Unplug it" is causing the problem?
