Spare parts for appliances from UK Whitegoods
by ganoble » Thu Feb 16, 2012 11:30 am
Hi
I have fitted two new hinges to my top oven door on my Hotpoint double oven.
The door will not remain open as spring closes it, also there is a fairly large gap Approx 6mm at the bottem when closed. The other part of the hinge fitted to the oven both look good.
Can anyone help
Thanks

Hi
You forgot the most important thing, the model number and also the part numbers of the parts you fitted. then we may be able to help you.

Hi
Unfortunately there are too many versions of that machine to correctly identify the correct parts. Can you post up the s/n and the commercial code please which are on the sticker behind the main oven door.

Hi
That's a nuisance to say the least

in that case you will need to look at either the top or the rear of the oven for the model number.
If not pratical can you post up any pictures of the old hinges which some kind person on here may recognise?

Hi Don
Have looked closely at the new and old and there is a slight dimensional difference approx 2mm from the centre of the pivot pin to the slot which locates the hinge on to the main oven Also new has a locking bracket that pivots into locating slot
Hope this is clear
Model No BD31
